Guanghua Temple on the West Hill of Longmen is one of the ancestral temples of Tangmi (also known as Esoteric Buddhism, Yoga Sect, i.e. Yoga Esoteric Buddhism). After the death of Shanwuwei, one of the "Three Great Masters of Kaiyuan", his real body was enshrined here. Monks in Luoyang throughout the ages have been honored to be buried in Guanghua Temple and to accompany Master Shanwuwei.
