Jingming Lay Buddhist is an instructor of traditional Chinese incense culture and tea ceremony, dedicated to sharing the quiet beauty and mindful spirit found in everyday practices. As a practitioner of Chinese incense traditions and a National Advanced Tea Ceremony Artist, he guides visitors to experience the harmony between fragrance, tea, nature, and inner awareness.
With more than 15 years of experience studying incense culture and tea traditions, Jingming has traveled to renowned tea regions such as Wuyi Mountain in Fujian and the ancient tea areas of Yunnan to learn about tea cultivation, preparation methods, and the cultural philosophy behind Chinese tea. Through years of exploration, he has developed a deep appreciation for how traditional arts can cultivate mindfulness and enrich daily life.
His connection with Guanghua Temple began in 2019, when he discovered the profound harmony between the peaceful temple environment and the spirit of incense and tea practices. Inspired by the temple's atmosphere of contemplation and simplicity, he created cultural experiences including "Incense Meditation" and "Zen Tea One Flavor," introducing guests to a more mindful way of experiencing traditional Chinese aesthetics.
Specializing in incense appreciation, Zen tea tasting, and mindful lifestyle practices, Jingming teaches with a calm and elegant presence. Rather than focusing only on techniques, he encourages students to slow down, awaken their senses, and discover moments of tranquility through the subtle fragrance of incense and the gentle rhythm of tea preparation.
His signature program, the One-Day Incense & Zen Tea Experience, has become one of the most popular cultural experiences at Guanghua Temple. Through the art of incense and tea, Jingming welcomes visitors from around the world to experience the beauty of traditional Chinese culture and rediscover the peace hidden within simple, mindful moments.
